  Project Planning, Our Approach.

The introduction of a new quantitative trading system (iBOX) has a fundamental impact on many aspects of the technical and business operations of a hedge fund. The success of the QTS is dependent on the readiness of the customer in several key areas:

  • business processes and procedures must be modified to reflect the new system
  • interface various legacy internal systems to handle the selected interfaces of the iBOX
  • staff training must be organized to use the new business processes and systems in order to implement a successful business strategy
  • origins of quantitative research
  • which trading models to use
  • what source for analytics
  • integration of iBOX inventory with a firm's back office accounting
  • order management allocation, reconciliation, discrepancy
  • smart execution options from brokers
  • market impact
  • transaction cost accounting

In order to achieve a successful implementation phase, Pillar Trading Technologies has initiated a multi-step process to help plan and manage the roll-out of iBOX. An implementation strategy is customized to each customer to reflect both the business and technical aspects of the hedge fund operations.
